Robin Starkey

Robin and Imogen Starkey welcome you to Shanklin Jewellers

Robin served his apprenticeship at Kulta Keskus
in Ascot, where he learnt the skills of the lost wax
process. He also learnt all aspects of jewel craft
and worked on bespoke pieces for Michael Caine
and Ringo Star.

The skills he mastered here have been invaluable to
him when setting up in business on the Isle of Wight

Robin and Imogen bought Shanklin Jewellers three
years ago.  It is the second oldest Jewellers on the
Island established in 1880 and still has the original
features necessary to evoke the inspiration needed
for the art of jewel craft

The Island's abundant nature is a wonderful source
of inspiration in Robin's designs, which is most
readily reflected in the "vine leaf "ring.
All Robin's work is hallmarked at Sheffield Assay Office,
where his unique maker's mark is registered.

Imogen is a Diamond Member of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (DGA).

Her practical skills can be used to grade our diamonds which we buy in parcels to keep our prices competitive. The stones are set in engagement rings, pendants and earrings in our on-site workshop.

Imogen can supply a choice of diamonds to reflect the budget for our customers' commissions. This will also aid the decision between size over quality or colour over clarity.

All our diamonds are ethically sourced and adhere to the Kimberely Process.

Imogen has the pragmatism and innovation needed to support Robin's designs and run a dynamic business.
